How to become a Guild Associate
Dear Prospective Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in applying to become an Associate of the Northeast Guild for Spiritual Formation. We value your potential participation with us! The application process is not intended to be arduous, but it is one that does require discernment both on your part and the Guild’s.
First, we ask that you download and read the application form (Click here to download the Application Form). We encourage you to give thoughtful consideration to each of the questions as you prepare to respond to them in writing.
Then, we request that you familiarize yourself with two documents: the Guild Rule of Life and the Guild Guidelines for Ethical Conduct on the Associate Guidelines web page.
Finally, after discerning your wish to proceed, please send your completed application to Lyta Seddig at email@example.com or Box 1004, Southwest Harbor, Maine 04679.
This will set in motion a four-step process that we seek to have occur within a period of 30 days:
- After receiving your application and confirming with you that she has received it,
- Lyta will send it to three Associates, one of whom may live in your area, who will also review your application.
- Lyta will then set up a conversation with you and these three Associates to explore further your interest in becoming a Guild Associate. If at all possible, these three will meet with you in person at an agreed upon location in Downeast Maine, southern Maine, or southern New Hampshire. Because of distance, one Associate may need to attend via telephone or video conference.
- Within seven days, the panel of Associates will convey their discernment to Lyta, who will let you know of their decision.
If you have questions about any aspect of this process, please contact Lyta Seddig at firstname.lastname@example.org or 207-244-7887.
